Ethics, Public Health and Human Rights Teaching Unit for Masters Students

A teaching unit for Masters students - drawing on existing expertise in clinical medicine, public health, medical ethics, history and philosophy of science - has been running for several years. Entitled ‘Ethics, Public Health and Human Rights’, it has met with considerable interest and has been very positively evaluated by participants.

Others from outside the institution are also able to take the module, and should contact the LSHTM registry for further details. Further teaching is being considered to reach a wider audience of public health professionals within the School.

View teaching module outline.

IPEPH members do a number of other teaching sessions, within and without the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, in areas such as research ethics, ethical issues in psychiatry, ethical issues in tuberculosis and HIV, environmental justice, Indigenous health and sustainability.
